Sum a ticker's dividends within a date range
Hi,

I have a sheet with two tabs.  In the first tab is a list of stocks purchased and sold; one buy/sell per row.  One cell in the row is reserved for reporting the sum of dividends paid between the purchase and sell dates.

The second tab lists all stocks purchased that pay dividends.  The ticker is at the head of each column (row 3) and each month has a row from January 2014-December 2016 (column A).

I'm trying to piece together a formula in the dividend reporting cell (on the first tab) that will take a stock's purchase date month/year and the sell date month/year and add up the dividends within that range for that ticker (on the second tab.)  No success thus far.

Ticker: A7
Purchase date: B7
Sell date: L7
Dividend array: A3:K39
Column A: Date column
Row 3: Ticker row

Any ideas?

Thanks,
George

PS I know I should be attaching a file, but I can only do that if the file is on my computer and for reasons beyond my comprehension though the file is on Google Drive in Safari, it's not in Google Drive on my Mac (though Google Drive is on my Mac.)  I feel pretty dumb, but on this point I am stuck.

After some hoops, got it.  See attached.

Thanks,
George
