Pivot table problems
Hello,

In the above example, we have a simple spreadsheet with three filtered pivot tables. The spreadsheet aims to plot the value of three different types of car against colour and financial value.

The pivot tables are filtered by type of car (Honda, Chevrolet or Ford). Each summarises the average price and total number of sales by colour (red, white or blue).

You'll see from the third pivot table there are NO white Chevrolets in the main spreadsheet. And here's my problem: I want the pivot table to report this fact, i.e. have a column for 'white' even though it would return zero values.

The REASON this is a problem is that I want the bar charts on each pivot table page to automatically update when new information is added to the main sheet. But I can't think of a way of creating a chart for the 'Chevrolet' sheet that would automatically update to accommodate the introduction of the first (and subsequent) white Chevrolets.

Hope that makes sense, and that someone can help!

let us have a look at the following where I have tabulated and charted the results for all of the three cars in each of the three colors in the same sheet
