Statistics on COUNT given two columns of data (image of problem provided) 

Can someone help me develop the formula for solving statistics problem. I tried using Google spreadsheet pivoting function, but without success.

I attached image of problem and solution. When providing the answer formula please note that data is in SHEET1 and stats should be on SHEET2.

Please include in formula correct syntax for referring to SHEET1rows.  It's something like SHEET1!A, or SHEET1A or similar...

I have provided the solution in Sheet1 itself, if it needs to be moved to another sheet, change the cell references of the source data to suit.
