Select Col by a range of dates
Attaching onto a previous question. I am able to customize student data based on a users entry of "x". This works and is fully functional. I am trying to have the 'Expected Results' show ONLY dates that fall within ranges entered into cells D5 / D6 (Start Date / End Date)
F4-F9 shows the 'Expected Results' (Yellow Highlight)
F12-F19 shows the 'Current Results' (Red Highlight)
D5 - Start Date (Yellow Highlight)
D6 - End Date (Yellow Highlight)
Here is a copy of the spreadsheet. Please have a look and let me know if you can help.

this is related to an earlier question asked by StudentSupport for which I had provided a solution in the following blog post:
yogi_Pull Select Information From A Table Based On Specified Fields (Columns)
http://yogi--anand-consulting.blogspot.com/2013/05/yogipull-select-information-from-table.html
so here we go ...
That is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThere is a slight error though, it does not account for multiple instances. For example, in the data, there are two 3/21/2013 dates, and the results only show one. Is there a way to adjust the formula?
Hi Bee Lini:
ReplyDeleteThere is no error ... mine shows two rows of data with date 3/21/2013
in your data in Sheet1 you have mistakenly entered the data qs 3/21/2012 ... so fix that and you will be Ok.
Make It A Great One

I stand corrected!
ReplyDeleteon a side note: I want to increase my ability to write, and understand, formulas; do you have any suggestions? books, websites?
