Top X instances of text value in range, ranked
Hello. I'm looking for a way to count the instances of a (full cell) text value in a column, and then display the top X most frequent. For example, from source data:
A
1 Written By
2 Joe Smith
3 Jane Smith
4 Jerry Smith
5 Joe Smith
6 Jane Smith
7 Joe Smith
I'd like to return a table that looks like this:
Rank Author Articles Written
1 Joe Smith 3
2 Jane Smith 2
3 Jerry Smith 1
I also need to control the number of ranks displayed (i.e. Top 10, Top 25, etc)
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Jeff
