Look up the row of formula, then substitute it in as a variable in that formula
So that if the formula was
=Gx*Fx + Hx*Kx
And it was located in row 4, it would become
=G4*F4 + H4*K4
I want to make a format so that whenever this function is pasted into a different row, the variable x changes to be that row number. Is that possible?

If I understand Stacy correctly, Staci needs to setup the formula with RELATIVE REFERENCING for rows ... and I thought it will be best to show that with an illustration as follows .
