Help calculating time with drop down menu 
Hi,

I am creating a time sheet for my employees to track their hours.

I have created three drop down menus for each employee to enter their clock in time: hour (1-12), minute (0, 15, 30, or 45), and frame (a.m. or p.m.).

I have also created the same three drop down menus to enter their clock out time.

I'd like to now create a field that calculates the difference between the two in order to get a total time worked.

I really don't know how to do this–my guess is to create a formula that essentially does: "if clock out hour is 1 and frame is a.m. then use 13:00 plus minutes, subtract this from clock in total"

Does that make sense? 

Can anyone offer me some guidance here?
