couple of thoughts ...
1) you can explore using a Google Apps Script for this -- that would be pretty straight forward
2) a formula based approach as presented in the following at best is a convoluted workaround
I have a google spreadsheet named Data
ReplyDeletein column 'D' I have drop down list, I want a script to add date of selelction in column 'D' when value in column 'E' matches to "confirmed"
A B C D E
Amt Account Description Status
1000 Traveling To Noida Confirmed (Here I want Auto Date when Confirmed was selected)
Please Help, the script should not effect any other active sheets..........
