How do I add up numbers in a column if a text string in an adjacent column matches?
I have a list of loans that are assigned to different LOAs and I need to add up the total dollars assigned to them. I need to make sure I only add the dollars assigned to the LOA to their total. How do I do that? I am summarizing their numbers at the top of the sheet.

Conditional Formatting Multiple Conditions Help

Howdy friends!

I'm struggling with conditional formatting and could really use some help.

In the table below I want to highlight rows 2 and 4 because the Week is the same and CODE2 appears in both Rows.

	Week	Cut	Add
1	6/12	AMIN	IPRG
2	6/5	CODE1	CODE2
3	6/12	AMIN	IJAM
4	6/5	CODE2	UNTY

The goal is to highlight instances where the same course is being add or cut for the same week.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

conditional formatting: highlight cell if the text is contained in a range

It seems like I should be able to use a simple "Find" formula but it's not working.

On Sheet1, I have a list of names. On Sheet2, I have a list of "phrases".

I'd like Sheet1, Column A cells to be highlighted if the contents appear in any of the phrases on Sheet2. I'm looking for  "partial matches", not exact matches.

I thought I could use something simple, like =find(A1,Sheet2!$A:$A) but that gives me an invalid formula error.

Can anyone help?
