"Date" field displays text and not digits

 

Hi,

My date fields say "Day/Month/17", rather than the digits I have inputted into the cell, eg, "27/11/2017".

I have changed the spreadsheet's country to Australia so that the format should be DD/MM/YYYY.

I have also formatted the cells with this kind of date.

When I double click the cell, it does actually change back to the number's I've inputted and displays the calendar, but as soon as I click out of the cell it goes back to "Day/Month/17".
