Automatic Range Filtering matching Cell Input
I have a very long column of inventory items in alphabetical order (COLUMN A) and a column to the right for the number 'on hand' (COLUMN B). I have created a range called ITEMS of all the items in COLUMN A
Rather than scrolling through the list to find an item I would like to be able to filter the range ITEMS based on what is typed into a Search cell. ie. User enters A in search cell and ITEMS range displays only items that start with A. As the user enters more text into the Search cell, the range automatically narrows the display of items matching the input. Once the specific item is displayed, the user can then easily update the number and in COLUMN B.
I apologize if this has been answered before, I tried to search for the answer before asking.
Thanks for your help.
