How to sum data by week using google spreadsheet
I'm trying to add all the totals of "B", "D" and "F" and get a weekly total, for each week on this sheet.
I tried using this answer but the columns are different, and I can't figure out what to change.
Ideally I would get weekly totals each Sunday.
Columns are:

A
dates

B
daily expenses $

C

cumul. budget
D
daily subscribers
E
cumul. subscribers
F

daily $ avg

Show Only Last Entry in Filter Formula
Hello!

I am using a simple filter formula to show information from a larger spreadsheet.

I have =filter(Sheet2!B:B,Sheet2!A:A=A13)

Sheet 2 has all of the information. Row B is the job status. Row A is the name. A13 is the name I want to match!

For example

Name             Job Status
Jane Doe        In Process
Jane Doe        Informal Offer
Jane Doe        Official Offer

I would like a formula that only displays the LAST job status! So, I would only want Official Offer to show up on the sheet with the formula.

I attached photos!

Thanks much!

Please help with populating a column with data from other columns based on a condition
Hello all,

I'm a bit new to using Docs for spreadsheets, and was wondering if I could get some help really quick. Also, my apologies if I haven't worded this very well. Here's the scenario:

I'm working with some simple sales figures, and I want to know how to use some simple formulas for separating the data based on certain conditions. Here is a sample of the data I'll be working with:

dateitemIDpurchasesbuyers
1/1/20141107
1/2/2014186
1/3/20141138
1/1/2014263
1/2/2014264
1/3/2014253
1/1/2014322
1/2/2014311
1/3/2014333

I want to write a formula that figures out the average purchases for each item for between two dates. However, I will be working with thousands of items. Basically, the formula would populate a column like the Average Purchases column below, except it would do so for thousands of items instead of just 3.

Date RangeItemIDAverage Purchases
1/1/2014 - 1/3/2014110.33333333
1/1/2014 - 1/3/201425.666666667
1/1/2014 - 1/3/201432

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

How to correctly query a data set by roster
Hi there,

This is probably pretty novice, but I'm having a really tough time figuring out how to query a set of data to isolate entries that correspond in part to other (mutually exclusive) data sets.

To be more clear, I have a list of names and associated attributes. These names are of people on different teams, and no person is on multiple teams.

Goal: To make the data more manageable, I want to automate breaking the data set into team, based on the name of the person, which is contained in both a team roster as well as the data set in question.

Here's an example, where "Master response sheet" is the data in question, the rosters of two teams (Edible and Animal) are available, and the desired destination sheets are called "Registration and color info for team Edible" and ""Registration and color info for team Animal". I've tried =QUERY(Master_response_sheet!A1:A5, select A,B,C when A1!A5 contains 'team_edible_roster!A1:A6') to pull the data in for Team Edible, but that's definitely not correct.

Once you stop giggling at my incompetence, any help would surely be appreciated ;)

Warm regards,
Kat
